My advice would be to move them off the exchange and into one of the bitshares wallets. I use the light wallet personally but the web wallets do offer conveniance especially with the account login.
just make sure you follow the BACKUP procedure and dont lose your password..
Also the BitsharesDEX telegram chat is a very active channel and a great resource.

Keep them along with STEEM and use bitshares (DEX) and steemit.com so you get more value, use, and understanding from these crypto as well. Also replied to your post.
