Here are some of the things that have happened since we launched the BitGate ITO (Initial Token Offering):

Events

We attended the OsloFintechFest: Future of Fintech and Banking conference with a BitGate stand. The event had over 800 participants from the fintech sector. At the event we had center stage with one other company to pitch BitGate Live in front the of audience. Participants could register their interest to invest. We got over 50 people interested in investing in BitGate!

At the end of the session there was an award ceremony for fintech startups in Norway. We are happy to announce that BitGate won the Newcomer of the Year award!

We also attended a Nordea bank workshop where we got to showcase BitShares in front of promising young leaders from different scandinavian countries. Check out this Tweet

Team

Sylvia is looking to be part of the BitGate team as Risk and Compliance officer - she has over 15 years of experience with Risk and Compliance from Nordea bank, so we're really excited about that.

Charlie Shrem has joined us as an advisor! Charlie Shrem co-founded the investment company Intellisys Capital and was a founding member of the Bitcoin Foundation.

We have 6 developers involved in the creation of BitGate, and we are aiming to launch a simple version as soon as possible to position ourselves in the market.

We also have eager new participants who want to join the BitGate team who work with content production, web administration and video production respectively.

Lasse Meholm, former member of the blockchain team at Nordea Bank joined us as Advisor. Super excited about that, he's a central figure in the bank/blockchain space here in Norway.

Partners

We are setting up a company BitGate US and registering the trademark with our Barton lawyers. Rob Viglione is in the process of helping us gather a team for BitGate US. Manuel Lains (senior) is working on setting up BitGate PT (Portugal).

BitSpace / BitGate got a prominent profile in an article in Morgenbladet, based on their trip with us to Gran Canaria where we hosted an investment and blockchain conference with Liberland:

The VAT on Bitcoin in Norway has been removed for the first time! The market is perfectly ripe and this means it will be easier for us regulatory-wise to launch BitGate.

BitGate ITO

We are preparing an Invesdor ( https://www.invesdor.com/ ) crowdfund that will be aimed at traditional financial investors.

We are also busy now preparing the distribution of the BitGate Tokens and we are contacting everyone to let them know their balance, claim their perks and agree to the terms.
