Bitfilm Live Event Will Take Place in Buenos Aires

The first 'Bitfilm of the Day' event in a real life venue will take place at Espacio Bitcoin Buenos Aires on December 1, 2016. 

We will organise screenings of the winner films about every three months. The films chosen by the Steem community will then compete for the award Bitfilm of the Season.

Buenos Aires was a natural choice for me, as I will be there anyway in November and December. And we already organised screenings of our Bitfilm Festival at Espacio Bitcoin in November 2014 and February 2016. Here are some pictures of these events:

Espacio Bitcoin is an amazing three story building in downtown Buenos Aires, which hosts about a dozen Bitcoin and Blockchain start-ups, as well as meetups and workshops about all things crypto. At their last meetup, Matías Romeo from LatinCoin gave a talk about Steemit.

Buenos Aires will also be the host town of the annual Latin American Bitcoin and Blockchain Conference, which happens in a different Latin American city every year. After its first edition in Buenos Aires in 2013, it took place in Rio de Janeiro in 2014 and in Mexico City in 2015. This year it returns to the capital of Argentina, where the main organisers are based.

I deeply recommend to visit this year's edition on November 4 and 5 with speakers such as Andreas Antonopoulus, Erik Voorhees, Peter Todd, Trace Meyer, Sergio Lerner and many others. I am sure that Steem will be an important topic, too.
