yesterday texas state securities board posted this cease and desist order on the front page. (https://www.ssb.texas.gov)

“The Securities Commissioner found that the BitConnect investments are securities, but were not registered as required by the Texas Securities Act and State Securities Board Rules and Regulations. In addition, the company is not registered to sell securities in Texas.”
Bitconnect is based in the U.K. which Texas has no jurisdiction over. Texas has jurisdiction over the residents of Texas ... if your in Texas use a VPN or proxy. Even if your not in Texas get in the habit of using a vpn it is to easy not to use. The benefits def outweigh the cost.
