Bitcoin Private is going to be a fork of Zclassic AND Bitcoin..
Meaning if you hold ZCL or BTC you will get 1:1 Bitcoin Private as well!!
On their Reddit they state:
Bitcoin private is a hard fork of BTC and ZCL. BTCP will have the same privacy technology as ZCL (zk-snarks). This means payments are published on a public blockchain, but the sender, recipient, and amount of a transaction remain private.
This project is being led by Rhett Creighton and they are doing a full re-brand for Zclassic, which if you are not aware is a fork of Zcash without the founders fee.
According to coinmarketcap.com Zclassic is currently at $77, but has hit a high of $120 yesterday.
But the price of ZCL earlier this month was only around $2.00!!
However the spike came following the announcement of the rebrand!
Conclusion
Zclassic still plans on staying it's own project after the fork just like with the ZenCash fork, but if you want to get Bitcoin Private.. It will be a lot cheaper to get it 1:1 from ZCL than from BTC.

It’s kinda cool. A fork of a coin that already exists but will also be a bitcoin fork. Interesting! Well if zclassic price is any sign it’s awesome
It is going to be interesting, and still cool how they will combine the 1.8m ZCL and the 16.7m BTC, and still have the 21m cap!
