Spurs on the other hand, lost scandalously 3-0 to Crystal Palace in the league and could only manage a 2-2 draw away to French Ligue 1 side Rennes in the UEFA Conference League.

Chelsea are prime favourites to clinch this one on paper, based on their impressive start to the campaign as they are yet to taste defeat thus far. But it must be said that this is a derby where form is thrown out of the window and it is the team who wants it more, that ends up getting all three points.

The Blues have one of the most stacked attacks in European football. They currently boast of having more than six forwards who all have significantly different profiles. From the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Romelu Lukaku, they have what it takes to put any opponent to the sword. However, Chelsea's attack must find the fluidity and the incisiveness in the final third.

TEAM SELECTION MUST BE SPOT ON: Chelsea Manager Thomas Tuchel has a few selection headaches at the moment. With French midfielder N’Golo Kante injured, Tuchel has to pick two midfielders from Matteo Kovacic, Jorginho and new signing Saul Niguez. Kovacic and Jorginho played the match against Zenit St Petersburg and the second half against Aston Villa last weekend and could most likely be called upon.

Saul’s debut against Villa is proof that he needs more time to adapt to the league and it would be a huge risk to start Saul against Spurs as Chelsea cannot afford mistakes against players like Harry Kane.

THE BIG BOYS MUST STEP UP AND BE COUNTED: Truly, club-record signing Romelu Lukaku has been great since his arrival in the summer, notching up four goals in three matches and he must step up once again against the Lilywhites.

Lukaku has shown that he doesn't need too many touches to score a goal and could fancy his chances against Spurs lightweight defence. However, supplies from the wingers must be constant and steady if the Belgian is to feast on the opposition. Also, the defenders must do their own job to keep out the attacking threat posed by the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Lucas Moura.
