RE: Statement From BitCoin-Gold To Coinbase

in #bitcoingold7 years ago

Well, wether they like it or not, it's still no point against the statement of coinbase. If coinbase is not sure about BTG then this statement still won't change anything. So either they give the code free for public review or they have to live with coinbase being cautious.

On the other side, if they trust in their product, coinbase will see everything is working fine and add them later.

"We kindly request that Coinbase review their statement and edit it in a way that is based only on facts, not assumptions."

well, without public review about the code there are no facts to make a statement with ;)

Sort:

The code IS public.

Ah okay. I was just reading the coinbase statement:

"At this time, Coinbase cannot support Bitcoin Gold because its developers have not made the code available to the public for review. This is a major security risk."

So I was assuming this must be correct. In that case it seems like I got something wrong :)

Yeah, the point of this post is that "BTC-Gold" is saying that their code is public and Coinbase didn't base their statement on facts.

I'm sure Coinbase will proceed accordingly, probably they won't change their place in this.
