According to crypto disclosure platform Xangle, BCH & BSV’s hashrate fell by 23.2% and 19.4%, respectively. BCH and BSV prices each fell by 11.5% and 11.2% since April 8. BCH halving event occurred on the 8th, while BSV halving event occurred on the 10th.
Xangle Just the FACTs report (published on April 9th) stated that Bitcoin’s hashrate during the previous halving events. In 2012, BTC hashrate was down by 21% for a month, but since then it soared by more than 80 times in a single year. In 2016, it was down again by 11% for 17 days, but later rose more than three times by 2017. Bitcoin prices began to rise after the hashrate rose.
The decline of hashrate in BCH & BSV reflects that miners, unable to make a short-term profit, left the mining market. However, holders should be aware of hashrate’s fluctuation afterward, as Bitcoin’s hashrate fell right before the previous two halving events
