As you pointed out, David, cryptocurrencies are in their infancy. I made an experiment asking 100 people in Europe: 1) What is Bitcoin? 2) Have you ever heard about Blockchain? 3) Does "Ethereum" tell you anything? You might guess the answer... - only 5 % of the asked have ever heard about Bitcoin in form of the usual MSM narrative: money of drug dealers, pedos, gambling, untrustworthy, etc.
I'm sure there will be pullbacks in price what's needed in every healthy growing market on its ways to prosper in time BUT meanwhile the technology is developing in such a speed we can't even image. The working process' is getting faster, straighter, cheaper, securer and more stabil. In my opinion Bitcoin will be the Digital Gold as a safe haven; the game changer of social life - that "Oscar winning "role will be played by Ethereum; also to mention is Litecoin (fast transactions), Monero (privacy), Digibyte (5 different hashes) and maybe steemit - "to kick youtube, facebook and twitter right in the ass!"
