I had a slight misunderstanding of the terms in the beginning about selecting the charity, but no matter. She selected the charity that I will be donating to if I’m wrong. I selected the charity that she will be donating to if Bitcoin has any value whatsoever as of Jan 1, 2018. Of course I tried to explain to her that we don’t know which technology of the segwit2x will wear the bitcoin label after November. No matter because I do this every year anyway.

Curtis Manwaring What people don't seem to get is that bitcoin is a label for an underlying technology that changes daily. One of the forked versions of bitcoin may indeed be gone by 2018, bitcoin as it was yesterday is already gone.

...Which one of the 4 forks of bitcoin is considered bitcoin? BCH, bitcoin gold?, bitcoin classic or segwit2x? They haven't even decided who will win the name for the forked version of bitcoin this November because they both want to keep the "bitcoin" label.

Curtis Manwaring No proof there is the problem. Besides I typically do this every Christmas anyway and there would be no proof on your side that I sent to charity for your reason or for the reason I do every year.

Curtis Manwaring Define collapse first, don't want you chickening out saying that because bitcoin went down 10% before New Years saying that is a collapse.

Curtis Manwaring It makes no difference to me because I'm not risking anything as I do this every year. I can simply say that I'm doing it because of your reason instead. So let's define collapse as the technology wearing the bitcoin label on Jan 1, 2018 will be worth less than $1000.

We don't know which one of the segwit2x variants will be the one wearing the bitcoin label until Nov of course. So are we on then according to the above definition, or were you just blustering?
