Billionaire investor Tim Draper predicts that the price of Bitcoin will reach $250,000 next year.

Draper is one of the most prominent figures in the cryptocurrency space, buying 30,000 bitcoins previously seized by US Marshalls for less than $20 million in 2014. The same stash is now worth over $1 billion.

An early backer of Skype, Tesla and Twitter, Draper is known for investing in the future and has made billions in the process.

"I think I'm right here," Draper told CNBC. “I will be really right and wrong. [But] I'm pretty sure it's heading in that direction.
