Panama Congressman Gabriel Silva hopes his country will be the next country to follow El Salvador by adopting bitcoin as a legal tender.

Silva plans to introduce legislation next month that will begin the process of opening the country's economy to cryptocurrencies.

After being announced in El Salvador, he found that “the project in El Salvador was positive, ambitious, interesting and well-received and today there is “strong citizen support” for this project.
