TOP 5 BEST CRYPTOCURRENCY WALLETS! MID 2017 EDITION
There are many cryptocurrency wallets out there, but which are the best? Continue reading to find out which cryptocurrency wallet is best for you. Keep in mind these wallets are simply my opinion and are not ranked but instead a list of reliable wallets with great reputations and functionality.
1.) Exodus
Exodus is a multi-cryptocurrency wallet that at first glance has a beatufil UI. Being a multi-cryptocurrency wallet, you can keep your Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, and many other crypto's all in one. With many built in luxury features, one of my favorite is the pie like chart that shows your portfolio of cryptocurrencies shown in the image above. The wallet includes: Built in Shapeshift exchange, user customization, and control of your private keys. In addition, the wallet also includes a backup allowing you to keep your wallet safe and ready for later use. However, Exodus unlike many other wallets, is not open source so keep that in mind.
2.) Jaxx
Jaxx is a multicurrency wallet that takes a multicurrency wallet and simplfies it. The wallet uses a simple easy to learn interface that you can just pick up and go. Jaxx has one of my favorite security features including, key locks, password protection to confirm all transactions and protected settings. Jaxx is a completely open-source, cross platform wallet that I personally have been using for multiple months and have had no issues with. Its my personal go-to. In addition, a nice feature of the wallet is that you can adjust the transaction fee yourself in your settings. Its simple, fast, and works great!
3.) Coinbase
While Coinbase is given lots of criticism out in the cryptocurrency scene, there's no doubt they are still one of the leading wallets out there for users alike. Coinbase is a web-based wallet. The wallet currently can hold: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Fiat. It is one of the few wallets that have a built in system where you can buy cryptocurrency with fiat currency and sell for fiat. Lots of hate is put towards Coinbase due to its lack of privacy, and rather difficult, and annoying verification process. And while that being said, Coinbase remains to be one of the best.
4.) Ledger Nano S
The Ledger Nano S is the one hardware wallet that is on this list. The Ledger Nano S brings the security of a offline wallet and puts it in a physical form. One of the best features of the Nano S is the fact that it can be offline and physically be with you at all times. Problem of course is if you lose the Nano S and or the device is faulty. Only big con is the large price tag of $100, while the rest of the wallets listed here are 100% free. However, with many great reviews and amazing capabilities, this wallet is a must for those who plan to hold large sums of crypto.
5.) Paper Wallets
For those who want maximum security, a paper wallet is the choice for you. Paper wallets are exactly as they sound, they are physical wallets that aren't electronic. They are simply paper you can print from your computer into a physical form. They are by far the most secure as no one can hack them and are not possible to get into unless they, the thief, gets a hold of the private key which is also printed in a physical form. Its best to have backups prints of these wallets as once the paper is lost, the funds will be lost along with it. So what do you think about this list? Have a wallet you suggest?
