RED ALERT: InsureX HACKED before ICO

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

Red Alert: InsureX was hacked last night, right before it's ICO coin offering, according to YouTube's JSnip4. So maybe people better think again before sending any ether over to the ICO.

A woman on twitter said she arrived at the site and saw that a chat screen said that the token sale was to start earlier than expected and gave an address of where to send your Ether. She got suspicious and decided not to contribute. Many people who did not realize this hack, made their payment and ended up losing their Ether.

The etherscan proof was mentioned by another person on twitter

Luckily, I saw JSnip4's alert video or else I would have lost my Ether.

According to some on twitter, the hackers stole over 1,000 Ether but no CEO or representative of InsureX has sent any email it twitter notifying potential victims.

Some scammers have even set up a 2nd InsureX website asking for Ether but the countdown time is different. Now, I'm really scared to participate in any more ICOs ... the following page was screenshot 2 hours ago but look at the time? Wow! So many scammers are out but really, shouldn't the InsureX team come out and say something in case even more people send Ether to their hacked site.
