Usdt tether hacked for 30 million
Tether (usdt) was just hacked for over 30 million dollars. In tethers release statement, the attacker came from outside the company and the usdt was sent to a bitcoin adress that is being investigated! This is crazy news, that seemed to poke a hole in bitcoins bubble. People are over reacting as usual giving another opportunity to get some cheaper bitcoin.
Just use bitUSD on the Bitshares blockchain. China is starting to use bitUSD and bitCNY on their exchanges because they are backed by at least 200% collateral and there is zero risk of being hacked.
I just did some trading on bitshares, it's nice to not have to worry and not pay maker/taker fees. Once more ppl start using it, more liquidity there will be no use for centralized exchanges. Peace of mind.
bitfinex is a bitcoin manipulator, now it will be illiquid.

Such an inside job it feels like. Balancing their books by removing overinflated Tether volume OR a short scheme to make some quick $ on a timed press release of the bad news.

I also read that Tether is not going to replace the stolen coins and are now in recovery mode. If those coins are not recovered, the BTC price may continue to decrease. If they are recovered, then the BTC price will increase. Regardless, this is a good entry point below 8k.
