Three hypotheses, either he's not quite up-to-date and don't know he has BCH, or he want to continue hodling BCH, or he simply needs some bitcoin ... so while this is interessting, it may not be relevant at all with regard to BCH.
We don't know what he needs this BTC for and the timing shortly after BCH could be coincidental. But I do hope that someone with that much bitcoins is at least a little bit up to date and knows about BCH... :)
