My disappearance and subsequent return to Steemit

in #bitcoin6 years ago

I've been a little busy -- and that's a good thing!

Anyone who has been following my daily blogs on Steemit may have noticed my sudden disappearance and lack of frequent posts over the last few weeks. It's not because of the depressingly bearish market. Far from it. In fact, it's because I have had so many great opportunities in this market that I have been pursuing, pulling me further into the rabbit hole that is the fascinating realm of cryptocurrency.

Late last summer in 2017, I began writing about my learning experience in the world of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I'll admit, my early writing was extremely naive and -- like many others -- I felt like I was some kind of trading genius when prices surged dramatically over the following months. Of course, reality set in following the giant Bitcoin crash of early 2018. This harsh reality continues to this day as the market plods on in its bearish state. It turns out I'm not a trading genius, after all.

But the point is, I learned a lot over the course of this experience. And I continued to share what I learned from research and from following the daily events of the crypto market. In the early spring of 2018, I was approached by some great guys at VTCmarket.com to do some writing for them on their website. They knew I was a fan of Vertcoin and liked my writing style, so I happily obliged and began writing little blog posts on the website promoting Vertcoin's cause (The People's Coin!).

As time went on, the guys at VTCmarket.com wanted to delve into the broader scene of cryptocurrency, not focused strictly on Vertcoin, but on news, perspective, important figures, and the potential for jobs to be found throughout the industry. The VTCmarket.com website was handed over to new owners, who will soon be implementing more improvements to the site and will be offering a range of crypto-related merchandise on the site.

More recently, I have been working closely with the team, moving from VTCmarket.com to their brand new website, at Cryptomurmur.com. Here, I will be posting articles about a range of topics I hope you will find interesting:

  • Educational guides on the basics of cryptocurrency
  • Perspective on changes in economics and technology due to innovations in cryptocurrency
  • Brief profile write-ups about important figures in the industry
  • Jobs that you can find in the block-chain industry to suit your skills and passions

Most importantly, Cryptomurmur.com is focused on block-chain jobs. The website is undergoing a "soft launch" at the moment, as it is being fleshed out with more articles and topics. The jobs board is up and running with a few jobs available for perusal and for you to apply, if you're interested.

Over time, the goal is for Cryptomurmur.com to be your go-to website to see the latest jobs in the industry and to maintain some perspective on this whole crypto-thing. The crypto market, at least in my experience, is changing. Bear markets tend to have this effect; attitudes are focusing less on speculation, moons and lambos, and instead on the problems cryptocurrency can address and solve in the future. At Cryptomurmur.com we will try to help you answer this important question: "Where is your place in this new frontier?"

I hope you come to Cryptomurmur.com and find your role in this exciting new world. I will keep posting articles from the site to my followers here to keep you in the loop. Please continue to follow me and drop me a comment if you find the site interesting or helpful (or if you have constructive criticism, that's awesome too!).

See you at Cryptomurmur.com!
