Yes I think it is probably a good buy either way (long term).
It should be a good buy for long, especially if considering the issues Bitcoin experiences, people would opt for the "next best thing"
Yes and I think it is already happening. People may use bitcoin for a long term store and Litecoin for quick transactions.
