The short answer is yes. I'm confident in Genesis Mining.

What got me started in cryptocurrency was a tip from a friend of a friend in a crypto thread on Facebook last month. He recommended Genesis Mining to us, as his contract had granted his ROI (return of investment) in about 8 months, and how he "messed up" by selling all of his bitcoin, whose worth at the time was trading for 2400 USD. GM has been around for quite a bit, and only recently has run into issues with hackers. In light of CoinDash getting hacked for 7 million in Etherium last month during their initial coin offering, and HBO having their security breached in emails, with threats to leak GoT (Game of Thrones), then compromising their FB and Twitter, I feel that Genesis Mining has also been one of the many targets being hit by "The Coming" of security exploits back in July. A lot of people are new to Cryptocurrency, as it slowly begins mass adoption, and a service going down right when a everyone jumped in can feel like it's a scam. I feel that Genesis Mining will make good on their word, and are in the beginning steps of rebuilding some of their lost reputation this past month.
