3 ways so far I've seen that you can get Steem. You can buy from an exchange. Bittrex is available for that. I believe there is an exchange on this site that let's you buy but I have yet to test it.
You could mine the coins using a computer. Although I have been having trouble with the setup and it's config file.
Or you could earn by posting on here on Steemit.
