You better hurry up if you want to protect your cryptocurrencies. Hardware wallets are a scarce commodity now

Security is very important and it is worth to pay for it, the possible benefits definitely outweigh the expenses. Hardware wallets never were cheap for a small piece of plastic and some simple processor but now they are becoming more and more expensive. Almost 100 Euro for Ledger basic hardware wallet Nano S, shipping is free, but it is still 10 Euro more than few days ago when shipping was not for free. What is more it is not possible to buy it right now, we have to waill till 20 march.

Second most known hardware wallet is Trezor, it is possible to buy it with shipping in 3 days, but it is addiotinal 20 euro to the finall price and shipping is not free, so it is almost 2 times more expensive than Ledger Nano S.

While it is not possible to handle STEEM and SBD transcations via ledger or trezor wallets both companies offers SDK for the developers to create custom software for not suported currencies. I hope one day someone will develop what @svk started - https://steemit.com/steem/@svk/trezor-hackathon-putting-steem-on-the-trezor

Good information thank you!!!

I've been wanting to get a ledger for a while now. I really need to bite the bullet and buy one. I suppose while BTC is on it's current bull run it might be a good time to grab one using BTC.

you should look for sone local reseller to buy one

As the cyber threat environment changes, protection against threats also has to change. It is evident that a new approach to cigarette safety is required, with the emergence of targeted attacks and sophisticated threats. Traditional techniques are no longer enough to protect the data from cyber attacks. @whd

I'd pay for one with my crypto, but they're only taking fiat!

you can buy both with btc :)
