Have Extra Bictcoin Laying Around, Buy A House With It

Sure you can sell your bitcoin or you could just buy a house with it. One of the trends is to buy and sell homes with bitcoin. There has been several articles about it and from what I've seen it has been millionaire dollar homes that are being sold for bitcoin. But this article I came across has prices that are a little more reasonable. It talks about condos in Miami that are around 200,000 thousand or around 17 bitcoin. More than I have sitting around but hey if you do let me know when the moving in party is.
I find the idea little odd as who buys a house out right. There are very few of us who can step pass a mortgage and just buy a house as they would a carton of milk. But I suppose that is what makes bitcoin attractive for this kind of purchase. You don't have to deal with a lot of cash and you can transfer it fairly quickly. It is a good way to deal with a large transaction in a way. But still, that is a lot of money to drop all at once.

For the mass adoption of Crypto's, it's a good thing to see people using it to make more and more different kinds of purchases. In the USA there are real estate sellers willing to receive Bitcoin in exchange for a house or other real estate ... this is a good thing as it will hasten the masses also adopting the new forms of payments.

With Real Estate prices soaring across the country and rates continuing to rise, I'm not sure I'd sell any cryptos to buy a house anytime soon. Would rather wait 3-5 years for the prices to drop. Real Estate, like most markets, is highly cyclical and right now we're at (or near) the top of the latest market peak.
