How long can Bitcoin be a stable coin?

Bitcoin has mostly traded between $6200 and $6800 since mid June this year. The last 9 days have had very little movement. The calm before the storm has lasted longer than I expected. I have seen people predicting a large move up and down but nothing is happening right now.

Could this go on until the end of the year? It seems unlikely but it also seemed unlikely that it would last this long in such a tight range. I hope that this is an accumulation phase before a big move up but I'm very wary that if there's a close below the lower blue line, this could turn nasty. I'll just carry on hodling and hope for the best.

It's very strange because it's not like block chain technology has stopped growing. Is the volume low?
