🗞 Amazon And ConsenSys' Startup To Offer Simplified Blockchain Platforms

Amazon Web Services (AWS), the tech giant’s cloud computing arm, is partnering with ConsenSys’ blockchain startup Kaleido to offer simplified blockchain cloud platforms for its clients, CNBC reports today, May 15.

Kaleido is a blockchain business cloud that helps enterprises build and manage blockchain platforms without having to start from scratch, and is based on the Ethereum blockchain. It is one of the emerging ventures supported by Joseph Lubin’s blockchain incubator ConsenSys, who introduced the project today in New York:

Circle Becomes 'Bitcoin Unicorn' with Bitmain-Backed Mega-Round

The 'bitcoin unicorn' club now has another member.

Announced Tuesday, Circle has closed a $110 million Series E fundraising, a figure that effectively values the startup at nearly $3 billion, according to figures from the company. Led by China-based mining outfit Bitmain, the round includes support from Accel, Blockchain Capital, Breyer, Digital Currency Group, General Catalyst, IDG, Pantera and Tusk Ventures.

🗞 “Honest Coinmarketcap” Claims to Provide Accurate Cryptocurrency Data

In the last 24 hours, $7 billion worth of bitcoin (BTC) was traded globally. That’s according to data provided by Coinmarketcap, the industry’s go-to aggregator of cryptocurrency data. Not everyone agrees with that figure however. “Honest Coinmarketcap” is a new project that aims to set the record straight and do away with inflated trade volumes.

🗞 Smart Contract-Based Decentralized Exchange Dex.top Launches This Month

This week news.Bitcoin.com spoke with the team behind a new trading platform called Dex.top — a decentralized exchange built using a smart contract. According to the Dex.top developers the exchange has no access to a user’s private key and assets are never held on the Dex. This means, much like the cryptocurrency wallets out there that allow individuals full control over their private keys, Dex does the same as it acts a non-custodial trading platform.

🗞 Russia Prepares for Large-Scale Bitcoin Mining Operation Following Minery Launch

With digital currency gaining in popularity worldwide, additional mining operations and farms have started to appear despite looming bans on the practice.

For its part, Russia will soon become home to one of the largest legal mining operations in the world, located in Siberia. Earlier this year, the Bank of Russia, Russia’s central bank, offered to allow the mining of cryptocurrencies, but proposed that miners sell their coins outside the country. The first deputy governor of the bank emphasized the need to take a “taxation point of view” and consider how it can be controlled and reported. However, selling cryptocurrencies outside the country doesn’t remove the requirement that miners file and pay their taxes.

The resistance line at 3.25$ has been tested since yesterday but we have not been able to break it. You can see clearly that this faillure has triggered a importantd drop. We are now very close of the support orange line at 2.85$ but we have to check carefully that point and see if that support line will hold or not the drop.

A break of the support line in orange will send us directly in the direction of the 2.50$ levels...
