The exchange operator of CBOE Global Markets wrote a letter to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), recommending they not interfere in the development of a Bitcoin exchange-traded-fund (ETF) because they are similar to other commodity-based ETFs, March 23.

🗞 China’s Huawei Rumored to Partner with Cold Storage Smartphone Maker

Embattled Chinese smartphone maker, Huawei, is rumored to be in serious talks with Sirin Labs to bring its handset into the cryptoverse, possibly incorporating the Swiss company’s cold storage wallet along with its system to instantly convert fiat to crypto. This comes at a time when, in the US, at least one regulator is insisting carriers drop Huawei out of security concerns.

In the fallout from the Cambridge Analytica fiasco, in which it was found a third-party data provider was mining user information on behalf of political groups, Facebook and its founder have faced an outcry of criticism over the company's role as leader-supreme data custodian for the developed world.

But for the crypto community, the resulting plunge in Facebook's stock price offers an instructive example for a fundamental argument: whether the current cryptocurrency market, in which more than 20 blockchain networks are "valued" in excess of $1 billion, is overheated or in a "bubble."
