🗞 TRON News: Will Justin Sun buy the content platform Steemit?

  • According to a Chinese news outlet, Justin Sun is thinking about buying the content platform Steemit.com.

  • This would allow TRON to expand its ecosystem beyond BitTorrent to include another much-used platform.

Will TRON acquire Steemit?

According to Chinese news site huoxing24.com, Justin Sun is considering buying the Steemit content platform. The Mars Finance news platform claims that it has learned from sources in charge of the case that TRON is in the process of integrating steemite into its ecosystem. In early December, Sun caused a sensation when he announced on Twitter that he was about to take over a large distributed platform.

The TRON Foundation recently announced that it is working with the mining pool, POOL-X, which is financially supported by Kucoin. However, this announcement does not fit in with what was announced at the beginning of December. According to Mars Finance, Justin Sun has announced two completed mergers through Weibo, also known as the Chinese Twitter. However, this message on Weibo was deleted a short time later, so the authenticity can only be speculated about so far.

Steemit is a decentralized social media and blogging platform that builds on the Steem Blockchain and rewards users for their content by distributing the cryptocurrency of the same name. Steemit was founded in 2016 by Ned Scott and Dan Larimer.

🗞 Bitmain Shifts Miner Sales Tactics, Betting Big on Bitcoin Halving Pump

Bitcoin mining colossus Bitmain has rejiggered its sales strategy to reverse a decline in market share following the return of co-founder Jihan Wu to the company's helm.

At a customer event hosted by Bitmain on Saturday in Chengdu, China, Wu appeared on stage for the first time as the sole chairman and CEO a month after regaining control. Addressing clients and partners, he presented new strategies to restore Bitmain's waning market dominance.

In essence, he proposed to sway miners to stick with Bitmain's products by having the company take on the risks related to cash flow, bitcoin price volatility and electricity costs.

🗞 It’s All About $7,400 for Bitcoin Price as a Big Move Is Now Imminent

Bitcoin (BTC) closed the week slightly above $7,500 up 1.56% ($115), which marks the first positive week since the close of the first week of August. Today Bitcoin touched a high at $7,660 following and a low at $7,370 with most of the price action taking place in the second half of the day.

The 24-hour losses listed in the chart below show that the wider market has followed suit with Ether (ETH) trading back around $150 and XRP at $0.225.

Bitcoin closed the week back above the 50 and 100 weekly moving averages (WMA), which at the time of writing are now crossed bullish. This typically occurs in advance of bull markets in previous Bitcoin cycles.

🗞 Telegram Investor Documents Say BNY Mellon, Credit Suisse Helped Process $1.7B ICO

Telegram told investors it was using Wall Street megabanks BNY Mellon and Credit Suisse to move and store fiat currency raised in last year’s blockchain token sale, court filings show.

On Monday, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a proposed order with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to request the British High Court’s assistance in getting the testimony of Telegram’s former chief investment advisor, John Hyman.

It followed a similar filing on Friday from the SEC, which has accused Telegram of selling unregistered securities and is seeking to block the issuance of the Telegram Open Network (TON) project’s tokens.

🗞LedgerX Places Founders On Leave Following Public CFTC Woes

The board of directors of Ledger Holdings, Inc., parent company to LedgerX, announced that co-founders Paul and Juthica Chou have been placed on administrative leave, effective immediately.

In a Dec. 9 press release, the Bitcoin (BTC) derivatives exchange LedgerX explained that the two executives will be replaced by Larry E. Thompson as interim chief executive officer and lead director of Ledger Holdings. Thompson brings with him the experience of a 30-year career on Wall Street.

It remains unclear why the board of directors have decided to place both executives on administrative leave. However, Juthica Chou, took to Twitter where she said that no real reasons have been given, except that they “had long-lasting disagreements with the board about the vision and direction of the business.”

Today, we continue to test the line at 0.124$ but unfortunatly, the BTC is now correcting and it will stop all our attempt to break that line and we should start to correct also. No luck for the STEEM, it was a nice opportunity to start a little UP trend but the BTC has other projects and as always we will follow it when we are talking about correction.
