According to Lilita Infante who has been a special agent at DEA for over ten years stated that while bitcoin popularity grew the illegal transaction dramatically decreased. She also added that bitcoin and other altcoins are trackable. In a meeting on digital assets in mid-July Andreessen Horowitz stated that “Bitcoin is law enforcement’s best friend” due to this technology opening new doors to track criminals activities.
