Scams using the Bitcoin name

in #bitcoin6 years ago

In my place, the Bitcoin fever is not yet on its highest peak. However, it is undeniable that it has gone widely heard for the past several months. Thanks to the media as well--both print and broadcast--the good news about Bitcoin is fast circulating.

Everything would have been good already if not with how Bitcoin is being portrayed most of the time. Because of the aggressive growth of Bitcoin, which can be easily checked and verified over the internet, so many scammers are creating schemes with the Bitcoin banner being floated as the primary source of profit.

As always the case, there are gullible and credulous people that will always jump into an investment solicitation offering too-good-to-be-true deals without much thinking. These kinds of offer would make you imagine your very near future with so much money in your pocket, effortlessly gained.

Needless to say, they all end up being baited into Ponzi schemes and the likes. They also end up believing in so many shitcoins being introduced as the next Bitcoin. All their hard-earned money went to the personal bank accounts of the scammers.

This is an urgent issue that needs to stop once and for all. Let everyone stay away from coins that are totally unheard of. Let everyone stay away from any investment proposals from unidentified people, most especially those that are offering fantastic returns.

Stay safe everyone!
