BCC is closing the profit parity gap. Currently BCC is only 20% to 30% less profitable than mining BTC!
BCC is slowly catching up. After having multiple difficulty adjustments downwards, and with BTC having an increase of 7% to 8% soon, we may see BCC become more profitable to mine within the next 7 to 10 days!!!
On many of the Bitcoin forums, people have stated that to mine BCC currently is break even or even some profit for most miners.
The difficulty for BTC will continue to go up as it always has. BCC difficulty has continuously been going down, and for good reason. When a certain amount of blocks are not mined within a time frame, the difficulty will go down to compensate.
The difficulty factor re-targets 10 minute blocks based on the network solving them. If the average block time is higher than 10 minutes, there is a chance for the difficulty to be adjusted down. From what I have read, this usually onnly happens if in the last 12 hours less than 6 blocks are mined.
There is a very real possibility that BCC will become more profitable to mine in the short term/mid term. This will create an interesting incentive of profit, and we KNOW miners love them some profit!! So who will win out in the end?

Question, are BCC and BCH the same? I always wanted to call it BCC, but bitcoin cash seems to be known as BCH.
The whole bitcoin cash launch was unconventional, but is a very smart move. If bitcoin cash was only distributed through miners there would have been a whole different dynamic going on now.
