IRS requesting Coinbase passwords?

What will this mean for Coinbase who has the largest exchange in the US?
"DOJ trial attorney Amy Matchison said at a court hearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley Thursday that the IRS has been in talks with Coinbase about narrowing its request to only items the agency would need to look for unreported income"
At this point we'll have to wait and see what happens with the IRS and the August first user activated "soft fork". I'm hoping this will equal buying opportunities for myself and many other crypto-enthusiasts.
