You just made me REALIZE one of the major benefits of enabling payouts on Steemit posts for an indefiinte period of time - that is, when they are discovered in the future on BOTH Steemit and the wider internet. Someone had suggested a "tip" feature for posts which remains active after the current 7-day period.
