Bitcoin Network Speed Forecast for the Weekend

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Hi there!

Despite the fact that over 30% of the Bitcoin miners are mining Bitcoin Cash, you can see that the number of unconfirmed transactions in BTC is slowly declining:

During the weekends the number of BTC transactions is always lower so that's good - the mempool can at least partially clear out even though BTC hashrate is lower than usual.

According to www.fork.lol in 8 hours from now the Bitcoin Cash mining difficulity will drastically increase which will make most of the miners to switch back to mining Bitcoin. This will will increase the speed of confirming transactions.

In other words - if you're planning to make a Bitcoin transaction, Sunday evening could be the best time to do it (lowest fee and fastest transaction).

More about current Bitcoin Network situation here.

Hope you found this helpful and see you next time!

Now (6.25AM UTC) mining BTC is 2.67x profitable than BCH.
Bitcoin-main has approximately 1,5 days to deal with 80k tx mempool before BitCash diff recalculates lower again.

20k and started to grow.
BCH diff recalculates to lower profitability.
Block times seem normal, so another emergency recalculation down won't happen. Looks loke system finally came to equilibrium.

good information I really like your post
