Bitcoin - Uber Bitcoin Support Coming ?

The new Uber CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, has been a long time Bitcoin advocate. He started Expedia in 2005, developing it into the major travel-site used today. Expedia started, due to his direct influence, accepting Bitcoin in early 2014.

Uber & Bitcoin

Uber supporting Bitcoin is great, especially since people that use Uber are more inclined to adopt cryptocurrency than other groups of people. Uber is relatively new, and just like bitcoin is a decentralization-app.

Uber is currently the worlds biggest taxi-company without having a single taxi in their inventory. This is a completely new development, just like Air-B&B is the biggest hotel-chain without having any hotels, and Bitcoin is starting to be a well known and accepted currency without having banks or any form of physical presence in the "real" world.

Speculation

It is still speculation that Uber will start accepting Bitcoin for rides, but with this new CEO taking charge, it's unlikely not to happen. I guess we will have to wait and see.
