The project is intended to create a clean energy economy for the future development of the Ugandan economy and proving employment opportunities to the youths in particular.

The project developers also said that, consumers can use $Dala tokens to pay for the solar energy service, and also the project workers will be paid in $Dala cryptocurrency as well.
The project is estimated at be worth $1.5 billion.

Reliable electricity is one of the major problems facing the Ugandan economy. So , the project is intended to bridge the bigger gap.
Since also over 80% of the Ugandan population is made up of the youths (under 35), the project founder believes that the project will be highly effective since most of the youths are educated.

The project is also aimed at providing clean solar energy to at least 25% of the population and create over 200,000 jobs to the Ugandan nationals.
