in #bitcoin7 years ago

Dash announced three new business partnerships with GoCoin, Strike Social, and Piiko to allow Dash owners to pay for services from additional partner companies. Dash has also unveiled a new $ 300,000 project with Arizona State University to accelerate research and development, and blockchain education.

The integration of Dash with GoCoin, an e-commerce digital payment processor, will allow users to use the Dash to pay for products and services on mainstream sites such as Cheapair.com, RE / MAX.com, Movietickets. com and Lionsgate.com.

"We are honored to be working with these big companies," said Ryan Taylor, CEO of Dash Core. He said that the partnership with GoCoin in particular will help spread the adoption of Dash by merchants.

GoGoin Executive Director Margot Ritcher said:

We work with Dash because we have great confidence in the Dash team and we are fans of the Mining Rewards formula to support not only miners, but also the ecosystem of service providers. We see Dash as one of the best transactional corners to come.

Dash's partnership with Strike Social, a Chicago-based social media optimization firm, will allow customers looking to maximize their advertising spend on YouTube and other social platforms to pay for Dash service. Strike Social serves customers such as XBox, Coca-Cola and Netflix.

Taylor said the integration of Dash will help improve the reach of cryptocurrency as an alternative form of payment, especially for big brands in social media advertising campaigns.

Piiko, a Dubai-based prepaid phone company that works with more than 600 mobile operators in 137 countries, will allow users to recharge their mobile credits using the Dash.

The new business partnerships follow the announcement earlier this week of a new R & D project with Arizona State University (ASU).

The $ 350,000 Dash-ASU agreement includes the creation of the Dash Scholars Program, which will provide $ 100,000 in scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students, an additional $ 100,000 for the Blockchain Research Lab (BRL ) and $ 50,000 for Luminosity Lab to fund open source projects, and the development of blockchain courses, with US $ 100,000 for the creation of a graduating online course, which should be offered next fall.

Dash and ASU announced the creation of the BRL at the ASU in August 2017. The BRL focuses on the accessibility of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.

According to Dragan Boscovic, director of the BRL and research professor at the ASU School of Computer Science, the laboratory is studying practical applications for banking transactions, property exchanges and contractual transactions that do not involve brokers.

He is currently working with a company in the Phoenix area to formulate a Blockchain for energy-efficient applications, such as the exchange of solar energy stored in neighborhoods.
