Female Board Members In Swiss Crypto Valley Association

The Crypto Valley Association has over 1,000 prominent members, including several key crypto industry investors, lawyers, firms and management consultants.
It is an active organization in Switzerland working to promote cryptocurrencies and the Blockchain technology industry.

The (C.V.A) has decided to elect two female board members to diversify its male-dominated leadership. The vote is scheduled for 20th September it has attracted an unexpected number of nominations – 43. The women will fill similar roles to those of the current members, including co-chairing working groups and interacting with authorities and other organizations.
The decision was based on electing two women that would bring a new way of doing things in the male-dominated leadership roles.

The CVA’s diversity Taskforce Leeane Abapo mentioned that :

• “We want to create a space that works for everyone rather than just carry on with the same old boy’s club and their cronies. Our objective is to elevate the dynamic women who have contributed to the Crypto valley and to create a stronger, more inclusive ecosystem.”

Domination of Men in Crypto Space
cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum have quickly crystallized into audience favourites due to their above- average returns and extreme volatility, but women are missing in the field.

As cryptocurrencies are becoming even more mainstream, will more females enter the crypto environment? Observers say it’s probable if investing money in these highly speculative assets becomes less tricky.

Why are there so few women in the world of cryptocurrencies? According to a Google Analytics poll, men constitute 91% of the Bitcoin community, while women comprise only 9%. Many experts say it’s because women are much more risk averse than men, and that’s one of the important reason why they are less seen in the speculative world of cryptocurrencies.
