The Dutch minister of finance, Wopke Hoekstra, want an international regulation for illegal use of crypto currencies. He also confirms that he does not want to ban crypto currencies in the Netherlands. He wants a closer control on when the currencies are swapped from crypto currency to FIAT currency (EURO).
This means that the platforms that offer crypto currency need to report illegal transactions. He expects that this law will start working from the end of 2019.

Hoekstra writes about the issue of new digital currencies, so-called ICOs, to investigate whether investors can be protected just as well as with a normal IPO. This means that parties wishing to collect money must provide all sorts of information and fall under the supervision of the AFM.
The Minister emphasizes that he wants to withdraw with other countries due to the cross-border nature of digital currencies. "In the international context, I see increasing support and urgency," says Hoekstra.
