No problems with BTC personally, aside from the usual complaints about its technological restrictions, but it's definitely not that interesting when the percent rises from alternate coins is so much higher. I only have BTC as a novelty and to potentially quick buy a new interesting altcoin.
BTC may be propped right now for that same reason. Lots of people just having BTC because you need it to be involved in altcoins. There are also BTC credit cards so people probably holding BTC to "cash out" of their profits without getting taxed.

The value of bitcoin is depending on how many people use. As long as people use bitcoin rather than other coins, bitcoin would be on the top like 'gold'
