HOW BITCOIN GROWTH SHOCKED ME

A brief story on my encounter that positioned me with a shocking question at the end of this story...
In 2010, i heard there was a coin called BITCOIN (BTC).... friends told about it but i IGNORED it thinking it was irrelevant, i rather spent money on shoes, cloths and fancy things that i don't even know where they are today
Really hurt me because BITCOIN was very cheap that a common man could afford it... Here goes the scene that brought about my shocking question... A friend got 500 btc for his small brother and the young man saved the details FOR THAT DAY and not for the FUTURE, 6 years later he came across the word BITCOIN again then he was told BITCOIN is a CRYPTO CURRENCY, he was told about the value of BITCOIN with the highiest rank on coinmarketcap.com, he never believed unless the man showed him practically, when he saw it, he got so excited that in his thought was to go get his own 500 btc details and keep it to grow more but the 500 btc which is currently $1,650,000 was no where to be found OH MY GOD! so my question emanated from here saying: I heard about the opportunity and ignored it, while the young man heard about it, got it for free and still lost $1,650,000
PLEASE WHO IS THE IGNORANT ONE AMONG THE BOTH OF US? Your answers are important
