Although a link has not yet been established, the timing of the virtual currency going into free fall happened at the same time as reports emerged of unauthorised sells taking place on crypto exchange Binance.  A representative for the exchange wrote on forum site Reddit that Binance was investigating reports of users having “issues with their funds”.
