Dimon knocks Bitcoin again says "Bitcoin is a worthless currency"
Increasing on his current criticism of bitcoin, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase bank is once more out within the media warning "it's going to stop badly" for the tech. In a fresh round of press interviews, Dimon instructed CNBC he's concerned approximately a flood of cryptocurrencies – way to bitcoin, ethereum and initial coin offerings (ICOs) – and believes governments will soon crackdown on the phenomenon.
Predicting that the scenario will no longer be quite, the CEO reportedly said that authorities will subsequently threaten users with imprisonment, forcing the cryptocurrencies onto a black market.
He instructed CNBC:
"Right now these crypto matters are type of a novelty. people assume they are form of neat. but the bigger they get, the more governments are going to close them down,"
Speaking to the financial times in India, Dimon delivered a few extra element to his mind, this time addressing the idea worldwide governments may trouble cryptocurrencies.
"We have already got digital currencies ... you could have digital rupee, so i am now not towards digital currencies," he stated.
"i am speaking approximately the advent of money and price out of skinny air," he persisted. "Governments now examine it like it's a novelty however the larger it receives the much less of a novelty it will become."
This guy is being given way too much air time if you ask me. His comments couldn't be any more paradoxical: his company made billions of dollars from selling financial products to many people that simply couldn't afford the repayments, then gets bailed out by the government and the taxpayer. And he has the cheek to call bitcoin / crypto's frauds?
