A Solid reason of why I put the majority of my portfolio in Stellar (XLM), which has a similar use case as Ripple but also targets consumers in underserved, developing nations for their initial customer base.

Although they do have Jed, who is a former Ripple employee, the team and the board behind Stellar (YCombinator, Wordpress, Stripe, AngelList, Tala..) is incredibly impressive and worth a bullish bias.
