The "Real" Andreas Antonopoulos Has Arrived? A Sign Of Things To Come For STEEM???
Andreas Antonopoulos is on STEEM!!!!
Or so it is claimed.
Actually he had account on here since July 2016 but never posted. This all seemed to changed within the past 24 hours.
In a post released, his first, he announced that due to the fact people were posting his stuff, he was announcing that he is the "real" Andreas Antonopoulos.

Was this post just a warning alerting people not to upvote what other "fake" Andreas posts. Or does it mean that he will post content on here and become involved in the community.
Certainly, I hope it is the latter.
For those who are unaware, Andreas is one of the foremost faces in the Bitcoin movement. He has been out front for the last few years giving talks and making videos about it. While it recently came out that he was doing all of this without holding Bitcoin himself, he is recognized as one of the leading voices in this arena.
Anyone who watched his talks knows he was trained as a computer scientist and was involved in projects at the beginning of the Internet run in the 1990s. This gives him the ability to look at Bitcoin (and blockchain in general) from the technical side thus providing an insight that is grounded more in the technological capabilities.
Going forward, I hope he uses this blockchain to post his work. His first post got a nice payout which might incentivize him to come on here more.
This will be another factor in the STEEM ascension, when some bigger names starts to appear on here. I predict that at some point in 2018, there will be a few "household" names who find their way here.
It also would not hurt if Andreas mentioned STEEM in a few of his talks.

Andreas is a bitcoin maximalist and believes strongly that BTC will do all that Steem does, and more, by itself. And he just don't like PoS systems.
I saw the post yesterday. I would be super mega awesome if andreas would post here and also upload on youtube.
I have listened to a lot of his talks. He described exactly the STEEM ecosystem a few years ago when giving a talk to MIT. Before STEEM was launched. It’s good to have someone of his stature here among us. It gives credibility to what we are collectively building. But also (hopefully) we will have access to his content here on the platform instead of combing YouTube for reposted videos of his.

Once well known names like Andreas or say John McAfee gets onboarded into Steem then it will be a huge huge boost and will increase registrations manifold. Is any whale or @ned or someone else looking into this aspect of bringing in big names (both individuals and institutional) on to Steem? I think @ned said something about many big names showing interest in SMTs... interesting times....

With famous people come personalities, some of which do not go well with others.
Of course, as the ecosystem grows, their antics might not be as noticeable if they were creating problems.
A guy named Charlie was very active while there were big rewards. He disappeared a long ago.
The more big names we have on Steemit the better! I agree with you that by the end of 2018 we will have even more big names on here that could potentially influence the growth of STEEM blockchain quite a bit :)
Yeah...not to get political, but a mainstream outcast like a Glenn Beck would be good. Even if he isnt one's cup of tea, he is a big name with a large following. He could really help D.Tube along with all the videos he creates.

It didn't sound like he was planning to start posting here, but who knows. The way I understood it was just to warn us about the people/accounts who are not him.
I would certainly love to see him in my feed more often!

It appeared to me that he was tired of some taking his posts and using them as their own.
Personally, I hadnt seen anyone on here pretending to be him but then I dont see a ton of people....it is possible someone was doing that.

There are many who are going to will find this place as Facebook keeps up its censoring campaign.
Ironic that Facebook and YouTube might be STEEM's greatest ally.
More good news for Steem, particularly if @aantonop continues posting here, bringing his followers along with him. 2018 is going to be an exciting year, and I think things will develop much faster than many people believe they can.
I agree...he has a fairly large following in the BTC community. For them to bring their knowledge to STEEM would be awesome. It would also be in @aantonop's best interest to come on here. Looking at his first post, it really added up to some nice money. As much as he likes BTC, he will love the progress of STEEM.
Since he can pull down that kinda coinage on his very first post, maybe he can enlighten us with some future posts concerning Steemit.
Seems like he's outing some Steemians that might be stealing his work, as their own. Hopefully, if he joins us he can keep an eye on the cheaters.
