My analysis:
Segwit 2x was a hijack designed to divide the bitcoin community. It was decided in secret, behind closed doors, excluding the leading long term bitcoin developers. Now certainty has returned.

Well, it could have been a conspiracy... on the other hand, how could they know the market reaction? They would have expected a price fall. After all 2X meant a free coin, and buying ahead of fork plus withdrawal of balances from exchanges - so no sellers. The logical reaction on cancelling 2X should have been a price fall. But this is bitcoin, and bad news is always good news.
Any news is good news I feel so people have some clarity. The less communication there is, but more people lose sight of the big picture and lose confidence. Zooming out on the charts and volume figures always keeps me in check.

what I do not quite understand, is how people fall into the game of the great owners of BTC in this opportunity many have felt like children who have been deceived, especially the people who passed their BTC to other portfolios that guaranteed the benefit of the fork.
