Top 10 Cryptocurrencies Each January from 2014-2018 COMPARED!

Hey guys. Here is a quick post I wanted to share with you that I found on Reddit. (Note: This is not my chart I am just sharing the knowledge!)

Here are the top 10 coins ranked by market cap in January of each year from 2014 to 2018.
Tailor your portfolio with this in consideration.

As you can see Bitcoin has been the Bull long term. Think of this as the Apple of the tech industry. Yes you MIGHT not see the same run ups as you would in some Alt's. But its a good way to hedge your investments a bit safer. You can't go wrong with BTC.

Other note-able picks are Ripple, Litecoin, and Ethereum. You can see how these coins have greatly held their market caps over the years and would be great to own these coins as each of these have heavy volume, great Dev and support, and strong moats.

Other points I see by reading this chart is Stellar and Dash had relatively consistent strength in their Market Caps. I know DASH wasn't shown on Jan 2018 chart but it was in the top 10 and Jan 2018 was quite the anomaly (a very massive influx in money entered the market and flooded lots of alts).

The take home from this graph. Aside from the coins I mentioned most of these coins are nowhere near the top coins anymore. This can happen to any coin that might be popular now in 2018. (TRX is an example). I HOPE TRX continues to do well! Just know that some coins can rise to the top market cap and easily fall back off the top charts. Just be aware of this when you decide long term hold coins. Really make sure you know the product and can stand by the product and the team. Don't just pick a high market cap coin based purely off its market cap.
