founder of Bitcoin, reveals his character for the first time
Australian entrepreneur Craig Stephan Wright officially announced that he was himself Satoshi Nakamoto, the nickname of the founder of Bitcoin, about five months after he reported that he was the mysterious founder of cryptocurrency
Wright, 45 years, identified by Wired magazine and Gizmodo as the founder of the Pitcull in December, acknowledged in a publication on his personal blog Monday and provided technical evidence to prove his claim.
The former computer scientist also provided evidence to the BBC, including the use of cryptographic keys associated with the same patchwork blocks that Nakamoto sent to another developer, Hal Finney, in the first foreign exchange deal in 2009.
John Matonis, one of the founders of the Bitcoin Foundation, said he "had the opportunity to examine the relevant data on three different lines: encryption, social and artistic." "I firmly believe that Craig Wright meets all three categories."
