Bitcoin Transactions Aren't Expensive!
Bitcoin payments are not expensive. Everyone who's telling you that either didn't take a look at the big picture or s simply a fanatic steem and/or bitshares user, which are fee less as we all know.
But let's dig into some facts on Bitcoin transactions for now. As you may see from the below infographic from bitcoinfees.info the actual fees for a BTC transaction are comparably low to any other type of money transfer.
Taking those numbers one might send millions of dollars around the globe with a guaranteed processing time of just an hour while paying less than 0.67 USD for it. I mean honestly, if one can't see that this is amazingly cheap and fast then we simply go one step further and use lightning.
As most of you might have heard already it's possible to send Bitcoin via the lightning network even faster for fees going as low as 1 satoshi only. That's not even a single cent after all and almost as good as a steem or bts transaction :P
So don't believe any FUD on expensive transactions. It's amazingly cheap and it just keeps getting better and better as time flies by and further improvements get released.

Bitshares have fees actually.
And yes, bitcoin is cheaper to sent a big transfers than a bank. But...
It's still too expensive for micro-transactions AND it's prohibitively expensive for social media use, even with lightning. You don't want to pay 1 satoshi each time you like a kitty post. Anything more than a free is too damn expensive.
Even more. Now, with advent of steem free is not good enough too. I must GET somethig, for my job of liking a cat memes!!!
And while BTC is waaay better than a $, it can't win over something that is waaaay better than BTC itself )))
we hope that in the bigcoin market it will improve every day more.
How is the processing time limit (1 hour, according to you) guaranteed? Asking because AFAIK there have been instances of BTC transfers taking far longer than that.
