Quadrant Protocol: Farmers will be major data suppliers

Data is changing the way we farm. It has helped us produce more food with less land. Farmers are able to use data tools to check what soil pH levels are giving better results. Farmers are able to check how much fertilizer is best for their plants. They are able to figure out what pesticide works best for their plot. There are so many factors that go into having the best harvest that it’s not possible to have the very best harvest possible. We have gotten very close to it though, and that’s because of data.

Farmers are the most necessary supplier in the world because they supply food. Farmers supply food to humans but maybe they can also supply food to machines. AI needs data to become better and farmers have access to a lot of data. When it comes to data, farmers are just consumers. Farmers buy data and they buy data tools. Farms actually produce a lot of data that the farmers use on a daily basis so why not let them sell this data and make money from it. The data market isn’t very fair to farmers but change is on the horizon.

Quadrant Protocol is going to change the way we are dealing with data. Right now big companies make the big money in data. Everyone plays a role in the data market so everyone should be able to make some money from it. Farmers have so much access to agricultural data and land data that they can be data suppliers. The data market has been closed out to most so opportunities have not been fairly distributed. Quadrant Protocol is going to decentralize data so now anyone can add their data to the data market.

When farmers will add data to the market, Quadrant Protocol will let data experts analyze and link data. The best quality data will be then used to make data tools that the farmers already use. The difference is that farmers won’t just be data product consumers because they played the part of supplying the data used in making the data tool. When anyone would buy the data tools made from the farmers’ data, the farmers will get money. Quadrant Protocol lets farmer become even more valuable suppliers since they will now supply us food and data.
