This year and next we will see adoption/acceptance of Bitcoin (and some altcoins) by more and more governments. Regulation is inevitable and hopefully whoever drafts the "best" legislation will have it copied to other nations. There will be push back from crypto users if any effort is made to centralize or to tightly control the flow of crypotcurrencies. I believe this will lead many governments to make legally recognized national cryptocurrencies. What an fascinating and modern time we live in.

yes! and be able to use it on things like utilities and taxes.
The end game with cryptos and strong encryption is that taxes wil be forced to become voluntary. That completely flips the whole board game over forcing a reset, and one that I welcome.
I--and I think many others--will gladly pay taxes for things that benefit us all. But taxes (and tax breaks) for endless offensive wars, ocean strip mining, mountain top removal coal mining, nuclear power, off-book torture facilities, 'homeland spy agencies' etc etc... well that shit just ain't going to get funded.
