Then BitcoinGold replies..
Think about the sums of money involved because of the fork ..just to grab free tokens the October 25.
The situation looks messy so far.. or maybe predictable enough to affect
the market trend.

yes, I'm not speaking about rewards. More about a kind of predictable situation , in order to affect the market in a particular way. I mean, if money goes all in BTC, Alts crypto market crashes, obv. All of the sudden, everything become cheaper
Segwitt2x is another hard fork than BTG.
Segwitt2x has been created in order to change the blocksize. It's hardly debated fork.
BTG has been created by few miners in order to change pow algorithm (asic resistant).
